TREATMENTS IN DENTISTRY

Inlay and onlay fillings

Inlay and onlay fillings, are made of ceramics and prepared at laboratories. In case of not having sufficient amount of teeth structure to support the filling and if the tooth is not damaged as to be covered with crown then inlays and outlays are used. No cutting is performed on tooth as the known crowning and prevents material loss on tooth. Only the cavity is cleaned, no hot and cold sensitiveness is observed, and food residuals will not adhere as its surface is polished. Thus they are more hygienic.
